Reinhardt MCM
Our clients worked with Doug Shaffer at McHenry Shaffer Architects to design a Mid-Century Modern home which will replace their existing house in Fairway, Kansas. As with all Catalyst built homes, this will feature exceptional performance and detailing. We provide durability through water management and airtightness as well as comfort with exterior insulation from below the basement to over the roof.
Prairie Sun and Timber
With almost 100 acres at their disposal, this client opted to take advantage of the natural beauty of the Prairie landscape and utilize the free energy of the sun to power their SIPs-over-timber-framed home. When complete, this Net Zero Energy home will meet Passive House standards and provide both comfort and efficiency to the occupants for generations.
Fine Homebuilding Kansas
In constructing this mid-century modern home designed by Chris Fein at Forward Architecture Catalyst worked with Fine Homebuilding Magazine to document and share educational details leading the industry. Exceptional finishes and crisp detailing are rivaled only by the high performance systems that make up the functional control layers and energy efficient mechanicals of this home.
Trolley Trail House
After seeing an article in Fine Homebuilding magazine, our clients reached out to us about building a high performance, right sized home along the Trolley Trail in Kansas City, MO. We suggested they speak with Brandon Froelich at MSA and the integrated design relationship was one of our most fruitful to date. Between MSA, Catalyst and client input, a beautiful, responsible home was constructed to the Pretty Good House standard, and the result was DesignKC magazines best custom build up to 3,000sf.
